Become a Volunteer Today!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the Italian Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts (ICCWM). The ICC was established in 1985. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and preserve Italian culture, traditions, heritage and the Italian language through educational, cultural and social programs, as well as, scholarships for graduating high school students. The ICC offers an array of programs, including language classes, educational lectures, educational culinary classes, Italian films (both classic and current), Italian dinners, trips and special holiday events.

When you volunteer, you will be an essential part of the ICC and will contribute to its growth and continued advancement. You will discover more about authentic Italian culture, cuisine and traditions! You will have the opportunity to work with some of your friends and potentially meet many new friends who share your same passion for Italy and everything Italian!

As the ICC’s programs and community involvement continue to expand, the contributions of volunteers have become increasingly important. Volunteers are what helps the ICC continue on its mission to promote and preserve all things Italian.

The ICC Board of Directors thanks you for your commitment and dedication to help make the ICC a thriving organization.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have a variety of events with which you can be involved. Pick the activities you would like to do, and we will be happy to contact you and add you to our Volunteer database. For details of times and dates, please check out our Calendar under Events.

COOKING CLASSES (Set-up starts at 10:30 am to Clean-up at 3:00 pm)

Setting up room for the class
Helping out with the demonstration
Wine pouring
Table running
Dish washing and drying

DINNERS (Set-up starts at 4:30pm, Clean-up at 8:00pm)

ITALIAN RETAIL STORE SALESPEOPLE

Available during ICC events to help display items, collect money and record sales.

LECTURE SERIES (SUNDAYS 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm)

Setting up room for lecture
Setting up the refreshments
Collecting money at the door and passing out refreshments
Cleanup and returning the room to the original configuration

LIBRARY HELP

We are looking for volunteers to help in the library during ICC events.

MOVIE NIGHTS (FRIDAYS 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm)

Setting up room for movie
Setting up the refreshments
Collecting money at the door and passing out refreshments
Cleanup and returning the room to the original configuration

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS / BANQUET

Working on the Scholarship Committee
Helping out on the day of the event

TOMBOLA & POTLUCK DINNER
